Pinnacle Investigations shares the concern of our clients regarding the recent incidents
of identity theft from companies such as ChoicePoint and Lexis Nexis.
Pinnacle Investigations operates in complete compliance with the federal Fair Credit
Reporting Act (FCRA) 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq. Pinnacle Investigations does not sell,
distribute, or in any way disseminate information we obtain about individuals other
than: 1) to the client company requesting the background investigation pursuant
to an applicant’s authorization; 2) to the applicant who is the subject of the background
investigation, and 3) to law enforcement or in response to a court order.
Pinnacle Investigations website and electronic files are encrypted and password
protected behind a firewall. Our physical records are maintained under lock and
key in a fire-resistant vault.
Any paper files which contain an applicant’s name, date of birth, social security
number or other identifiers are shredded before they are disposed of.
Due to the type of clients Pinnacle has, our files and security procedures are inspected
annually by auditors from the Nuclear Energy Institute and undergo an in-house audit
at least quarterly.
