Workplace and School Violence
Violence in the workplace is a serious safety and health issue. Its most extreme
form, homicide, is the third-leading cause of fatal occupational injury in the United
States. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Census of Fatal Occupational
Injuries (CFOI), in recent years, 20 percent of all public schools experienced one
or more serious violent crimes such as rape, sexual assault, robbery, and aggravated
assault. (Indicators of School Crime and Safety: 2003, U.S. Department of Education
and U.S. Department of Justice, 2003)
Our team of speaking professionals have spoken before members of the House of Representatives
and in numerous educational forums on the subject of school violence and grief issues.
Sandra Brewer (Owner of Pinnacle) was a member of the Governor’s task force on school

workplace violence. Sandy speaks from her experiences in criminal and civil investigations.
This is a powerful presentation targeted for managers and executives.
