Our Technology — Investigative Suite Overview

As a leader in the industry, Pinnacle has invested considerable resources in implementing an innovative in-house investigation application that aids our investigators in the tracking, storage, investigation, and reporting requested by our diverse clients across the country. By investing in this advanced technology Pinnacle is able to provide better service faster. Not only does this powerful tool drastically improve efficiency and turnaround time, but it also improves quality assurance and security.

Concerning our technology, all Pinnacle systems are managed by internal IT staff and their delegates, which guarantees us the ability to implement any necessary changes to better serve our clients whenever it is needed. This includes, but is not limited to creating custom virtual hosts, DNS or routing changes, security and access control, as well as integration services. Our goal is to be a comprehensive solution for your unique needs now and in the future.

Security

The Pinnacle network is secured from unauthorized external access using an industry standard firewall appliance. Our firewall provides stateful packet inspection, advanced quality of services, intrusion detection, and other features to ensure our internal data is secure. By default, we abide by a deny-all policy and only allow secure VPN connectivity from outside our network for unknown services other than common Internet service protocols. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption is used to transport any data submitted through Pinnacle's website over the Internet.

Pinnacle automatically archives completed reports in a secure database that administrators have password access too. This provides the client with the ability to obtain a copy of an old report whenever requested.

Internally, access to company data and systems is restricted to authorized users as determined by Pinnacle's network access policies. Network system and core application access, as well as firewall traffic, is monitored and logged by the network administrator. Additionally, all network devices reside in a physically secured area of our facility, accessible by IT staff and delegates only. Due to the various nuclear and high-security facilities we serve, our security must meet stringent federal guidelines and is subject to an onsite inspection conducted by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other designated individuals on a regular basis.
